[10. (a) (i) Any native who shnll be found guilty by a Native
Court of a breach cf Article 1A or ofAm'cle 9 (a) ofthis Regnlation
shall be punishable bry thc penalties provided in suiv—Article (a) of
tln's Article; and
(c) At the end cf suiv-Article (b) cf Article 10 oî the principal
regulation thc folluwing sub-Arficle shall be inserted:

nbets a breach of Article 1A of this Regulntion shnll be punishable
by a fine no! exceeding 20 pounds.]
11. For the purposes of this Regulation either District Agent
may hold a Native Court in sim at any rime.
12. For the pnrposes of this Regulation the Resident Com-
misaioners may by Joint Decisinn appoint any persan as n person t0
whom a District Agent may delegate any cf his powers in respect
of ordexs under Articles l, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 cf this Regulation.
13. This Regulation shall apply to the whole of the Central
District No. l and to the Southern District provided thnt it mny be
extended by arder of the Resident Commissioners to any other
district, region or island.
14. In this Regulatinn, the expression “District Agent”
(except in Articles 11 and 12 hercof) includes nny person t0 whom the
powers ofa District Agent axe delegated pursth t0 Article 12 hemof.
15. me Lb: date of the coming into force cf this Regulation
the Tangon Sanitation Joint Regulation No. 2 of 1939 is repealed,
but any crder made thereunder shall continue to have force as if it
had beau made undex this Regnlntion.
16. This Regulation may be cited as the New Hebrides (Native)
Sanitation Joint Regulation 1940, and shall came into force on the
day or me date hereof.
