(10) This Article shnll not npply to nnything done by or on
behnlf of the British, Fi'e‘nch or Condominium Administrations.
8. (l) The Resident Commissioners may, by an Order madn
by th with respect t0 any description ot' securities, exempt the
nom-ides lo which the Order relates from the provisions of Article 1
of this Regulation, and any suc]: Order shall be deemed to relate
not only to the securities specified therein, but also to any security to
which me owner of the securitiel s0 specified rnay become or lus
beoome entitled as snob, either by way cf bonus or in eonxequenoe
of nny conversion operatiun, amalgamntion or reconstruction.
(2) In this Article the expression “security” includes a deposit
reoeipt in respect of the deposit ot' securities.
9. (1) Subject tu any exemptions which may be mmæd by
Order of the Resident Commissioners, no persan shall, except with
permission granœd by or on behslf of the Resident Commissioners
export goods of any class or description for sale to a destination in
any territory outside the sterling aren unless it is shown t0 the
satisfaction of the Collector cf Cnstomsÿ
(a) thnt paymt for the goods bas been marie to a person
resident in the New Hebrides in such manner and in such
currency as tbe Resident Commissioners nmy direct; and
thnt the amount oî the psymmt for the goods represents the
full value of the goods, subject to such deductiuns, if any,
as may have been allawed by or on behalf of the Resident
Commissioners.
(2) For the purpose ot' enforcing this Article and af satisfying
himself, in the case of tmy gonds, as to the matœrs specified in
paragraph (l) of this Article, the Collecter of Customs may requise
the person making cntry of the gonds to deliver to the Collecter or
other proper oficer, together with the entry, such declnrations and
undemkings signer] by such persans as the Collecter nmy requin,
and where any such declamtion or undertnking hes been so required,
the goods shall not be exported until it bas been delivered as aforesaid.
(3) If any goods are exported in contravention of the provisions
of this Article or are shipped, pllt ofi' or waær—burne w be shipped
for the purposes of being so exported, the gonds shall be forfaited
to the Condominium.
