Made by the Resident Commissioners under Article 7, of the
AnglœFrench Protocol 1914.
1. Every pel'wn oocupying cultivated land whether owner,
tenam, manager or agent thexeof shnll be responsible for the talcing
of all neoessary mesures wîth a view t0 preventing any coconut shell
capable of holding tain water on the said land being used as a
breeding place for mosquitoes.
Nothing in this article shall apply t0 coconut ahells oollecîed for
fuel purpo provided tint suc]: shells are so disposed duit thcy
cannot hold min water no: ta complete nnts on the gmuud.
2. With eflect from 1st Omber, 1942 any person us mentioned
in Article l hereol‘ shall be deemed to have oommitted an nfi‘enœ
mains: this Regulaxion if coconnt shells capable oî holding min
water are found on Lhe land used, managed or administered by the
said person:
Provided that no ofl‘erme shall be deemed w have beenoommilled
unlesu Lhe said coconut ahells shxll he round on the gronnd in
sulficient number to establish the bad faith or negh'genee cf the
persan responsible.
3. District Agents, Police Oflîners, Condominium Medical
Olfiners and Saniüry lnspectors may enter on any land or promises
in order t0 check une application or this Regnlarjon and may
establish ofiences thereunder.
Il shall be an ofi‘enee nndel tln's Regulntion t0 obstruct such
ofiîcials in the course of lheir duty as aforesaid.
4. Infractions of this Regnlalion shall be punishnble by
penalties nm exoeeding a fine of L10 and one month's imprisonment
