JOINT REGULATION

MADE by lhe Resident Commissioners under Lhe provisions of
Article 7 and 28 of une Anglo—French Protoool of 1914.
l. (a) Except as provided by parag'aph (c) of this Section
the provisions cf this Regulntion shall apply to any vessel [mm time
t0 time within the Gruup in sa far as such vessel in not whilst within
the Group, subject t0 laws enacted by either Her Majesty’s Govern-
ment in zhc United Kingdom or by the Govemmem cf the French
Republic.
(b) In lhis Regulation the word “Group” shall have the mean-
ing assigned to it by Article 1 of (11e Anglo-French Promcol nf the
6th August, 1914, together with the Territorial waters thereof.

(e) “Life Saving Equipment" shall mean life belîx, life jackets,
life bonis and life rafts.
(f) A “Competem Ofiiser" shall mean a District Agent or
any ofller persan nppointed by the Resident Commissicnere.
2. Every vessel shall have iLs name and island 01‘ origin
painted disünctly on ils stem in letters not less (han four inches in
depth.
3. (a) No vessel shallput to m uniess it is in possession ara
valid Certificate of Seaworthiness, issued by the Resident Cern-
missioners after a survey by ofiîoers appoinœd by them for that
