This Warlpiri ceremony transforms young boys into marlulu initiates. During the final ritual nights, women used to dance to choose a future mother-in-law for the boy. Yarkinpirri young men dance with fire. The witi dance is performed at sunset just before the boys are left for secret business with the men.
